In Our Community...

Our contributions are a way of giving back to the people of the Ottawa-Gatineau community. Through donations and participation in local events we endeavour to help provide support and raise awareness for our community. Without the great people of the Ottawa-Gatineau community, we would not be who we are.

Do you have an organization, charitable cause or event that you need support for? If so, Contact us and let us know how we might help.

Please take a minute to browse some of the initiatives that we support below.

Paddling to the top... Lissa Bissonnette

She later joined the Sherbrooke Canoe Club and started training seriously She was inspired by Canadian paddling icon Caroline Brunet to pursue her dream of becoming a National Team kayaker. She moved to Pointe-Claire to train and says watching canoer Tom Hall train to win an Olympic bronze medal in 2008 had a big impact on her.

Lissa has competed on several World Cup tours and placed eighth in K4 at the 2013 U23 World Championships. She now lives in Gatineau, QC and is studying to become a high school math teacher while pursuing her paddling career.

Ethan Tucker is a wonderful 13 year-old boy, from Brockville. His grandparents are neighbours of our General Manager, Allyson Bell. Ethan has been in the ICU at CHEO since January 23rd, fighting for his life. Ethan has a brain tumor. He has undergone two extremely long and dangerous surgeries and still has to go through chemo for a year, followed by continuous rehab.

Ethan is not alone in his battle. He is fortunate to come from a loving family with other siblings, one of whom is only a year old. Throughout his journey Ethan has family at his side. With his Mom staying by his side every day, staying at Rogers House. During the week, Ethan’s Dad stays home with his other siblings, then they all pack up and head to Ottawa to be together with Ethan on the weekends.

Help us make a difference for Ethan and his family – Come by our Bake Sale on April 10th. Every dollar raised will be matched by Hunt Club Volkswagen. Our goal is $1,000. Can’t make the Bake Sale? No problem. You can make a cash or credit card donation while at our dealership and we will pass it on to the family. Alternatively, you can also email us for more information on how to donate online.
