Does your Volkswagen require a Haldex oil change?

Do you know if your Volkswagen requires a Haldex Oil Change? Volkswagens 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive system automatically redirects power to the wheels allowing your vehicle to quickly adapt to road and weather conditions, right when you need it most! This system works seamlessly thanks to VW's Haldex system, a coupling that operates alongside your rear differential to automatically distribute power to the wheels as needed to maintain traction.

Like any other component in your vehicle, the Haldex Coupling requires routine maintenance that is often overlooked. At first, the additive in the oil could begin to break down, over time causing your 4Motion system to potentially have a delayed response. The Haldex Coupling operates like a hydraulic pump which means dirty oil could overheat the coupling or cause the clutches to burn out, eventually causing the 4MOTION® All-Wheel Drive System to completely fail.

Volkswagen recommends that you have a Haldex Oil Change done every 3 years and keep in mind, if this scheduled maintenance is not complete, it could lead to your Powertrain Warranty becoming void.
